The Desert Cabin is a small retreat in the Arizona landscape, shaped by the meeting of two archetypes: the tent and the canyon. Its folded, sheltering form recalls the simplicity of a tent, while deep cuts and openings frame the dramatic desert terrain like a canyon. Located in the vastness of the Arizona desert, the cabin is conceived as a minimal shelter for slowing down, observing, and reconnecting with the terrain.

Designed to feel both grounded and nomadic, the cabin creates a close relationship with the surrounding landscape. A compact interior opens toward expansive views, while sheltered spaces offer moments of shade, privacy, and refuge from the desert sun. The architecture becomes a threshold between dwelling and landscape, blurring the boundary between the built and the wild.
